- Hiho.
-
- heh, I read up on this topic, all the messages, flames
- and things. Sounds cool, but let me start by asking:
-
- "Have you ever DONE -ANYTHING- (code OR engine) like this?!" It sounds like
- you're wanting to port (do up) a Quake type game! hehe, no harm, it's being
- done by some people at ClickBoom, BUT, just a reminder: It takes QUITE a
- bit of work (if you don't have any extra routines or docs, EVEN IN AMOS!).
-
- I'd love to help (there are several knowledgeable people on the List on the
- subject and coding of 3D games, myself to name one, Johnny Bintz, Mush, and
- a couple others), but I'm still busy with CBATNAM and my own (AMOS) 3D
- Doom'er (Cafe Engine) and upcoming game, meaning I may not be able to help
- with coding, but maybe with some docs or some example source (I've got
- PLENTY of BSP sorters, renderers, and the like, ALL in C! And of course you
- can look around on Aminet for docs and such).
-
- I also have several cool demos of some good C and ASM coded 3D Doom and
- Quake type engines (there's one that runs GREAT on an ECS '030, uses c2p,
- BSP, and lots of cool stuff, but its only a demo right now, no source).
-
- Anyhow, many flames (and good luck). If you need any help or docs, mail me
- and I'll see what I can dig up (ask Mush too if you haven't already). :)
